A cost comparison, not a service ranking. Taxes, bank charges, premium names and optional extras are excluded. Namecheap's new-customer coupon is not used in the standard comparison. Renewal rates can change. Domain availability is not checked by this tool.

How to use this result

We calculate registration + renewal × (years − 1). Listed mandatory fees are included once per year. The selection is limited and does not represent every registrar. Check the source page and exact domain before purchasing.

What this comparison answers

A low registration price tells you only what is due for the first term. This tool puts registration and renewal on the same timeline so you can compare the cash cost of keeping one standard .com domain. It is deliberately narrower than a registrar review: support, account recovery, DNS tools and transfer experience need a separate assessment.

A worked example

If a domain costs an illustrative $10 for registration and $18 for each renewal, the three-year total is $46: $10 + $18 + $18. A second offer at $15 initially and $15 on renewal totals $45. The first offer looks cheaper at checkout but costs $1 more across three years. Replace these examples with the prices shown for the exact domain in your cart.

Costs the table cannot know

Premium names can have different registration and renewal prices. Taxes, currency conversion, privacy products, email and aftermarket fees are outside the calculation. A transfer may add a year to registration but can be restricted shortly after registration or a registrant change. Check the current registrar terms and the domain status before planning a move.

A sensible buying checklist

Confirm the renewal rate, automatic-renewal setting, recovery email and two-factor authentication options. Make sure the business—not only a contractor—can access the registrar account. Record the renewal date and payment method in a renewal register. Price matters, but recoverable ownership is the feature that protects every service using the domain.

Review point: save the assumptions with the result and replace examples with current quotes. Recheck the decision before a renewal or material scope change.
