BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Compare the whole decision.

Worked examples, clear tradeoffs and questions to ask before buying. No sponsored rankings or invented market averages.

Use your own quotes. All prices in these examples are hypothetical. Compare the same scope and contract period before deciding.
A FAIR COMPARISON

Compare the same outcome and the work behind it.

Price comparisons fail when the scope differs. Write the pages, responsibilities, support window, ownership and handover you need before comparing options. Separate cash spending from owner time, and separate first-year discounts from renewal costs.

The examples in these guides are invented to show arithmetic. They are not observed market averages. Replace them with current quotes, then test how the decision changes when hours, renewal prices or contingency are higher than expected.

For every option, ask who owns the accounts, who fixes problems and how the site can be recovered or moved. A decision that is slightly more expensive but clearly reversible may carry less operational risk.
